Welcome to Day 8 of the 8 Days, 8 Mountains Fast.

Today’s Mountain is Mount Zion

Today is not just prayer. Spend today in thanksgiving and praise. Before you end the fast, give to the poor. If you don’t have access to the homeless, give by leading of the Holy Spirit to an organization that serves the poor. Read Isaiah 58 for reference.

​REMEMBER: Water only from 6am-3pm your time. Pray between 6-9am and at 3pm. Do NOT eat before you pray. If you are doing the 48 hours of water only, then pray during the regular times and at midnight.
​

Today when you end the fast at the end of prayer at 3pm or midnight, spend at least 15 minutes in thanksgiving and praise.

Thanksgiving is thanks for what He’s done, is doing, or will do.

Praise is worshipping and exalting Him for who He is. Usually praise is solely focused on God alone. Avoid using “I” statements or bringing the focus back to you during praise.

​Tempted to eat? Read the word out loud. The bread of life is your meal replacement. This is fasting and prayer. Pray for the grace to fast and finish strong.

Prayers: Remember to add scriptures to your prayers. Pray the Word.

Prayer Points - Coming Home

• Finished Work of the Cross - Ask God to reveal where there are areas where the finished work has not been fruitful or reflected in your life. Have a conversation with your Father about why and pray concerning those areas that the finished work will be evident in your life. Ask God who He wants to be to you in this season. Let Him be that.

​

• Barriers & Separation - Pray against any and all separation and barriers between you and God. Jesus tore the veil of separation that we may enter boldly by the blood of the lamb and approach the throne to obtain grace. What is keeping you from dwelling and resting (finding your resting place) in God through Jesus Christ? Be honest and confess where you feel separated or distant from God. Ask for forgiveness if the separation was caused by you. Ask Him to bring you closer to Him.

• Rest - Rest today. Ask God to teach you to rest in Him and enter His rest. Ask and pray regarding being one with the One… to be His dwelling place more and more.

​

If God places someone on your heart… intercede for them to Come Back Home to the Father, to the Truth, & to the Way.

Don’t forget to give to the poor before you end the fast at 3pm or midnight.
